Let’s see   Why is Navratri Celebrated.   The word “Navaratri” is a made up of two words. Nava and Ratri,” Nava” means nine and “Ratri” means night. Expand over nine nights and ten days. Navaratri is a holy festival in Hinduism. Where we are praying Goddess Durga, Furthermore which is a sign of the energy, in her nine beautiful forms with great reverence. Why is Navratri Celebrated In India: Navratri is one of the famous festivals in India which celebrated 9 days. Navratri festival is dedicate to the Hindu god Durga. This festival is also known as Durga Puja in West Bengal. It is usually celebrated in April and October.
