1. BASILICA OF BOM JESUS

2. CHURCH OF OUR LADY OF IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
As the name is, the Church is located pristine white at a height.
It appears very white surrounded by Palm trees.
The Virgin Mary was blessed free from original sin with giving birth to her son Jesus Christ.
The Catholic Church teaches that God acted upon Mary in the first moment of her conception keeping her “immaculate“.
This Goa church was among the very first ones built in Goa with a bell considered second largest in the world.
3. Se Cathedral
this is one of the largest churches in Asia built in Portuguese Manueline style. In Goa it is the oldest and most famous.
It is devoted to Catherine of Alexandria or Saint Catherine of Alexandria.
She is also called Saint Catherine of the Wheel.
The Great Martyr Saint Catherine was a Christian saint and virgin. The pagan emperor Maxentius killed her in the early 4th century.
She was both a princess and a noted scholar, who became a Christian at 14.
4. CHURCH OF REIS MAGOS
This Goa church is built in the village Reis Magos in memory of St Jerome.
It is also known for its feast for the three wise Magis or the Festa dos Reis Magos.
5. CANSAULIM CHURCH
The Cansaulim Church is based on the coastline of Goa.
6. THE CHURCH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
This was built in 1564 in Margao in Sourh Goa by the Jesuits. It is constructed in true Indian Baroque style architecture.

7. CHURCH OF NOSSA SENHORA DE MONTE
Located in Saligoa, Goa, it was built by Alphonso de Alberquerque.

One of their main characteristics is the ogival, orpointed arch.

8. ROYAL CHAPEL OF ST. ANTHONY

This Goa church has historical significance. St Anthony was born Fernando Martins de Bulhões.
Born in a rich family in Lisbon he became a Catholic and friar of the Franciscan Order.
Saint Lawrence was one of the seven deacons of the city of Rome, Italy, under Pope St Sixtus II.
He was martyred in the persecution of the Christians that the Roman Emperor Valerian ordered in 258.
