7. Anjuna beach
Anjuna Beach is on the west coast of Goa by the Arabian Sea, is one of the most popular beach in goa for foreigners. The hippies, kind of established this in the 1950s and gave it their attractiveness and appeal. So, you could also call it the most famous beach in goa for foreigners.
There is a part of beach where the tourist bus stops by for a look. There are huge and narrow rocky slits down where water, you see, flowing.
The rowdy youngsters as well as the adventurists are seen sliding through the rocky slits down to the actual beach. Does seem a tough going downwards. But people attempt.
They say, “Anjuna Beach grows on you as you take a stroll along the glowing white sands and enjoy the sight of gently swaying palms in front of you.”
Just as Wednesday nights are free for ladies at the pubs, this beach is famed for its Wednesday Flea Markets where you can shop for souvenirs, sarongs, traditional handicrafts etc.
Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Paragliding, Windsurfing, Bungee Jumping, Banana Ride, Dolphin sighting trip, Go karting, Water scooter, Water skiing are the usual attractions..
Curlies, Purple Martini, Café Lilliput, Shiva Valley and UV Bar are the places to be ladies and gentlemen who prefer young company!
This is in fact very near to Panaji, only 21.5 kilometers. Motorcycle taxis and auto rickshaws are available from Mapusa. The nearest railway station is at Karmali.
8. Palolem
This is one of the most popular beach in goa for foreigners and also among most picturesque beaches in South Goa, 70 kms from Panaji. The closest train station is Canacona Rail Junction which connects the place to the city of Panaji.
Water and shores are quiet except the sound of the waves. That is why people flock to such spots in Goa. Palolem is one of the most gorgeous ones. And eating outlets occupy the one mile long shore in crescent shape.
You find your favorite Dolphins here as well. Wind surfing is ofcourse the most common entertainment here as at all beaches, banana ride, kayaking and paddling.
Nightlife here is rich in Goa here as well. The best part is the names of the clubs. A must visit to find out what the names may give to look at -Silent Noise, Found Things, Neptune’s Point.
9. Morjim
Sand Plover, Bay-backed Shrike, Quill, Turnstones, Cuckoo, Kingfisher and Sandpipers. What are these names of? How many of us know. You will find these on Morjim beach. One of the most popular beach in goa for foreigners, Morjim is popular for bird watching , the greatest delight amidst of lush green surroundings and its Russian citizenry.
You will find lot of Russian nationales inhabiting this beach. They own a lot of private beach sun beds, coco palms and Russian sports bar. You can enjoy beach touching restaurants here.
The particular names that enchant you at night are Club Fresh, Bora Bora, Marbela Beach Resort are the places here to crash.
Like Ashwem , Morjim also nestles Olive Ridley Turtles.
10. Mobor Beach
Have you heard of this one? Sounds exceptionally new! Yes. Vibrant with tourists and full of parties, Mobor is a very new name for most of us. Will be good to research on it and visit. Here are blooming lilies in ponds, sandy dunes and coconut palms.
This place seems to be more an offbeat experience or just feel the light of common life in Goa and is much distant from Panjim.
Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Eye restaurant, Mike’s Palace and Joe’s River Cove are some famous restaurants near the beach for tasty food. Underwater fishing or oysters catching and Ringo Ride are some activities in vogue at the Mobor Beach.
